Carol Bellis, Astrologer and Soul Coach

Friday, March 5th, 2010
An astrological consultation offers an in depth look into what the soul is yearning to express through the vehicle of the personality in this lifetime.  In using the client’s natal birth chart as her cosmic portal, Carol guides clients into the realization of their soul’s innate potential through times of opportunity, crisis and transition.  Carol’s intuitive and soul centered approach helps clients identity and align with their true path through a deep understanding of the unfolding cycles illuminated in the individual birth chart. Astrology not only helps us understand human nature and the world at large, it enables us to understand our past experiences, present life circumstances and future direction.  It is an outstanding tool providing insights for our future so that we can make better, more informed decisions based on our unique, heavenly map, which is often referred to as the “soul’s curriculum for this lifetime”.

Carol earned her B.S. in Marketing from Bentley College in 1985.  In the year 1991, she felt compelled to switch vocational gears and began her studies in various areas of alternative health and wellness.  She later earned her National Certification in the ancient healing art of Foot Reflexology and her Reiki Master Certification.  She began her professional astrology practice a decade ago after earning her certification under the tutelage of professional astrologer, author and teacher, Carole Devine.  In addition, Carol earned with Highest Honors her Master Astrologer certification from one of the world’s most renowned and prominent astrologers –  Mr. Noel Tyl.  Noel Tyl is famous for having formulated the creative blend of psychological need theory and astrological symbolism.  He is a Harvard University graduate and a prolific author in the field of natal and predictive astrology.

Carol is a graduate of the renowned Denise Linn Soul Coaching International Training Program.  She is a Certified Soul Coach and Past Life Coach. (more…)

The Confidence Beads™ spread an uplifting message

Monday, March 1st, 2010
It all started when Linda Waters founded Back to Business, a company dedicated to helping women make successful career transitions. Whether it’s returning to work after an extended absence, or creating a more fulfilling professional life, Back to Business helps women tackle many challenges, personally and professionally.

Linda notes that “Consistently, the two barriers that hold women back from success are Fear and Lack of Confidence. I also think that women could support one another more than we do.”

The Confidence Beads™ are our way to spread an uplifting message of strength and support among women.
For each bead purchased, we are donating $1 to Ovations for the Cure, and $1 to programs that help stamp out domestic violence in partnership with New Hope.

Why Ovations for the Cure?

We support Ovations for the Cure for a very personal reason: Linda lost her mother to ovarian cancer at the age of 53. Ovations runs countless programs not only to promote research for a cure, but to support, encourage and comfort those currently battling ovarian cancer.

Why New Hope?

Domestic violence is a silent epidemic. It knows no socio-economic bounds, and affects the lives of families everywhere.

We want to do something about this.

We have partnered with New Hope with the intent to raise awareness and to change the staggering statistic that 98% of children who grow up in violent households will repeat the behavior in their adult lives.

For more information visit www.new-hope.org or call their 24 hour hotline if you or someone you know may need our services at 1-800-323-HOPE.

Now that’s one Powerful Bead!

Make Generosity A Part Of You Business Plan

By Beth Andrus

I think it’s important to realize that fellow business owners in your industry can be a great resource and sharing with them can bring a sense of balance as your company grows. When people start their business, they tend to view others in the same field strictly as competitors. But everybody’s business is unique and most people are focused on what they’re doing, not on stealing your idea.

People with similar businesses will have knowledge and experience that is particular to your needs, because every industry, product or service comes with its specific challenges. They can provide information and support that can help you improve your business, and you can do the same for them. You can learn of new suppliers, or of potential pitfalls to avoid. As you share information that helps save money and avoid frustration, you will develop relationships with these people and some will become friends. This is often an overlooked benefit of being in business.

Additionally, interacting this way with your peers can have a positive effect on your self-esteem. When you’re in thick of things, trying to get your company off the ground, you lose sight of how far you’ve come. Sharing information allows you to see how much you’ve learned.  Increased confidence can help you get through any overwhelming and difficult days.

Keep in mind, this approach can also be extended to people who are thinking about starting a business, not just established companies.  As you share your growing expertise with these people, you will be exposed to their fresh energy and outlook.  It’s a win-win for everyone.

Beth Andrus, author of The Essential Business Handbook, is dedicated to helping others achieve personal and professional goals. She is constantly looking for great resources and tips, and shares this information on her blog, minibizbuzz.com and The Essential Business Handbook fan page. Beth says, “The more people that find success, the better off we all are”.

I am so inspired by all the people I have met through Happy First. I love to hear people’s stories ranging from battling cancer to overcoming a tough experience to starting their own business. I hope to reach others through  www.happyfirst.com and encourage them on their journey. I want Happy First to be interactive where people can exchange their ideas and write in their stories and struggles. I think we go through struggles to make us stronger people and help others. I think we are supposed to do something with our experience.
I went through Hodgkin’s Lymphoma 15 years ago. My kids were 6 weeks and 3 1/2 years old when I was diagnosed.  It was scary at first; I was more worried about my husband and kids than me. Going through chemo and radiation was not fun but my oncologist was optimistic and he said it was just something I had to go through to get better. I didn’t have time to really focus on myself because my kids were so small. I didn’t realize all the blessings that would come out of my illness. My faith was strengthened, I realized how many friends I had, and my perspective was changed forever.
I kept telling myself I was going through this for a reason. Soon my reason became apparent. Just a few months after my diagnosis one of my good friends was diagnosed with  breast cancer two weeks after having her second son. We would joke around when we were together about my wig and her prosthesis. Joking around was our way with dealing with it. People would tell me I had such a good attitude and all the time I was thinking, what other type of attitude was there to have? You just have to go with it. There’s a good quote I like that says  “it’s not what happens to you but how you handle it”.  Then a couple of other friends were diagnosed with testicular cancer. We were all only in our 30’s! I felt like I was supposed to be an encourager to others. My way of coping was to keep on going with life and not let it slow me down.
